I went out to Arizona again to see my brother, Bet, and the baby, for what looks like the last time in that state.* Bet and the baby are heading for Connecticut on the 31st, and my brother follows soon with a carload of stuff and the dog.
The trip was great, but for the now-par-for-the-course airline problems. Flight canceled on the way out, blah blah blah. I spent a lot of time driving around and taking pictures while there--- the landscapes of Arizona are really amazing.
But it was *hot* in Phoenix-- 107 as the plane boarded. And they have poor and at times inexplicable signage: the signs that tell you you should have turned at the last turn to go where you wanted; the road work signs that say "END ROAD WORK THANK YOU!" Is that a demand? I promise not to work on the road anymore. Happy?
*Update-- little did I realize when I wrote this that I'd meet someone living in Arizona a few months later, and sixteen months be engaged to him.
